For long time the necessity of an organization of institutionally qualified Homoeopathy doctors of Siliguri and nearby area’s were felt. Many qualified Homoeopathic doctors were there in Siliguri who were doing private practice, serving as HMO in the government PHC, SHC, Rural and District hospitals, in the Panchayat dispensaries, in NHRM and school health.
Many young and BHMS ,M.D.( Hom) and little older generation of D,M,S,/DHMS were there. Unfortunately they were not organized under one umbrella. In this scenario few homoeopathy doctors sat together under the senior Homoeopathy doctors Dr. Bhupedra Nath Rasaily, District coordinating officer, Darjeeling, Dr. Abhijeet Roy, Dr.S. P Deyy, Dr.Chayan Mitra, Dr.Malay Bagchi, Dr Sunayan Chowdhury and few other and formed the Siliguri Homoeopathy Doctors welfare and research foundation on…………………………which was duly registered under societies registration act, West Bengal.
Dr Bhupedra Nath Rasaily M.D.(Hom), District coordinating officer, Darjeeling as President and Dr. Abijit Roy as the secretary. Since than we have organized many medical camps in the slums of Siliguri, organized medical relief camp during floods in Alipurduar, organized many seminars and conferences. The biggest ever Homoeopathy conference in North Bengal was organized by our association in 2012 as renowned Dr. Farokh Master as the main speaker.
Homoeopaths from North East, Bihar, Nepal were present in large numbers apart from Maldah, Dinajpur, Siliguri, Darjeeling, Alipurduar, Coochbehar and Sikkim. It was a huge success. During the covid 19 also our organization contributed hugely in the relief organized by Dr. Malay Bagchi’s Matigara welfare organization.
Our organization is strict about any malpractices and unmotorized practices in Homeopathy. There are many so called self proclaimed Homeopathic Doctors who don’t have any Government recognized Homeopathic Degrees or Diploma and we are doing continuous movements against them and public awareness about it. We are committed to look after the welfare of the Members of our association, upgrade our knowledge by mutual sharing of informations, safe guarding the interest of Homoeopathy and Homoeopaths. In case of natural calamities and any crisis of the society we will always be around actively. Together we can make a huge difference.
